Fast Gearing & Currency
No one wants to grind for gear, but sadly we have to. We have gathered some tips and tricks to make that grind a little easier.
Basic 324 Gear
The first thing you will need is credits and Conquest Commendations. These can be used to buy the Noble Decurion Conquest gear basic set, which is iRating 324. So as soon at you hit 80, run over to grab these pieces in the Supplies section lower level on Fleet at the Conquest Gear Vendor.

The Trick

Now that you should have at least item rating of 324, let’s walk you through how to get that to 336 and beyond.
First, if you have any of the currency left to upgrade, look at upgrading your earpiece. The goal is to get your Noble Decurion earpiece to 336.
Second, once you have gone as high as you can buying the upgrades, you have two choices:
- One
- Run Heroics and Dailies and other various things in game to get more of the currency needed to upgrade the earpiece by buying it.
- Two
- Run Veteran Flashpoints to get the blue Supreme Decurion earpiece drops and upgrade with drops. This way takes much, much longer.
The third step is what you do with that 336 Supreme Decurion piece. To open up the modifications for 336 Prototype blue enhancements, mods, armorings, etc., visit Zeek and Hyde who are tucked behind the last modification vendor in the Supplies area on Fleet.
When you reach Zeek and Hyde, grab the 336 Prototype mission. Once you have that, deconstruct a 336 Supreme Decurion piece and then talk to them again. From there, you will have access to all the 336 Prototype mods to put into adaptable armor just need to upgrade your relics and implants.
Relics
![]() | To upgrade the relics, the easiest way is to buy them like the earpiece or do veteran flashpoints to get them as drops. I have noticed that buying them is a more dependable way to get the ones you want, so keep that in mind when deciding which route you take. |
Implants
![]() | Your implants will only go to 334 for now, so once you have reached that point, you are topped out for them as well. For implants, you need lots of Tech Fragments. |
Beyond 336
Now that you can be all decked out in 336 gear, you are ready to do operations to get the higher gear. Hazardous and Virulent gear are the only ones that go past 336 at the moment. Visit my pages on gearing to for Damage, Healing and Tanking to see if it is worth upgrading any further or not. On those pages, you can compare piece to piece to see the numbers side by side at each iRating level.
Below I have included a chart for where to get what currencies. It is not all inclusive, so some things may be missing, but it gives you a pretty good idea of what is where. Enjoy and happy gearing!
The Currencies
Ok, so there are currencies you will need to collect if you want to upgrade any other type of gear. Since I haven’t found anywhere that had all of this together in one place, I thought this may be helpful. The tables below tell you what currencies you get for doing what in the game.
